Monique + Albert {La Posada, Santa Fe Wedding Photography}

It’s in the way they speak to each other. Big, smart, passionate words they’re willing to speak in front of those they love. Perhaps it’s their brazen willingness to expose their emotions is what makes them so real. During their personal vows, they wrote words to each other that could make anyone’s soul long in contentment for a true love found.

Monique + Albert booked us to be their photographers while they were still in Washington, DC just a few weeks ago.  After finding out they were from Washington, DC (Sophia’s alma mater city), we were just that much more thrilled to be a part of their special day!

The afternoon started with our first meeting simply in their room at La Posada Luxury Resort in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  It was a perfect day to marry, and they did just that with all their closest friends and family who flew from all over the country to share in their special day together.  Although both Monique and Albert could not have their fathers present, they had a special Native American ceremony that also honored those that could not be there with them.  You can tell almost immediately how important family is to them upon meeting them.

Monique and Albert, thank you for choosing us to document your special day.  Your wedding day was filled with everything it should be: joy, lots of laughter, no drama, hugs, and lots of kisses!  We know now how and why you are so fabulous…you are mere reflections of your amazing families and friends. We hope to see you guys soon, and we fully intend to visit when we make it over to Washington, DC again!

We got a chance to sneak away from the guests briefly to take a few photos of the gorgeous couple!

The lovely couple chose to do a Sand Ceremony during the ceremony which included all guests to pour a bit of their sand (placed underneath their seats) into the glass container to symbolize their love and support for the newlyweds. It was so touching to see just how much love was there in their intimate celebration.

This is one of the last shots taken from the night.  Albert quickly headed over to this table and wanted this photo of them taken next to the photos of their ancestors.  We love how much they love their family!

ABC Dragoo - I was a guest at this wedding and I was completely impressed by how “un-noticable” you were. You got all these great photos without imposing upon the party.

Gorgeous pictures – to match an equally beautiful couple!

P.S. I had a hand in the floral decor on the tables. Would you allow me to post your photos of the flowers on my blog, along with a link to your website? You can email me at abcd@abcddesign.com
